Please let me know if anyone you know has strong background to do QA/Testing under linux/Mac. Customer has very very strong requirements on Linux/Mac
Resources:
Local computers:
-
Windows (ideally three platforms between two people);
- Mac (at least 10.5 (Leopard), ideally the latest 10.6 (Snow Leopard));

Linux (some of the main distributions - Ubuntu, Fedora, Red Hat);
Note: VM setups are not acceptable.
Accessories:
- Audio and Video devices (webcams, headsets, etc.) .
The candidate for Software Tester/QA should have:
- Good communication skills (verbal and written);
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal documentation and supervision ;
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle process as it relates to different
testing stages ;
- Strong skills in Black Box Testing methodologies, including but not limited to ad-hock testing, regression testing, performance testing, compatibility testing, user acceptance testing, etc.;
- Experience in writing clear and concise bug reports and
test cases;
- Strong working experience with Windows (XP, Vista, Win7), Mac (last 2-3 platforms) and/or Linux (2-3 main distributions);
- Strong knowledge of GUI standards across multiple platforms (detailed in #6 above);
- Good working experience with different browsers across multiple platforms: IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.;
- Working knowledge of different file formats including audio/video formats and codec's;
- Working experience with different audio and video devices ;
- Testing experience of client-server
web meeting applications is a plus.
