Common Essential Duties & Responsibilites
-­‐ Define and execute test cases focused on validating the stability,
performance and quality of the Linux kernel and drivers
-­‐ Develop new test cases and test scripts focused on automating
test scenarios
-­‐ Generate and publish quality metrics necessary to prioritize
development and quality
-­‐ Work with vendor team development and quality personnel to
report, duplicate and resolve issues, including manufacturing line
issues
-­‐ Participate in bug scrubs and other product ship oriented forums
to facilitate product development
-­‐ Participate in board bringup of new hardware with manufacturing
partners
-­‐ Travel to Taiwan, other overseas offices and development sites
(worldwide) for 2-3 weeks at a time to assist in integration,
commercialization activities. Depending on project and need
there may be 3-4 such trips per year.
Background/Experience
-­‐ 5 - 8 years of hands-on experience testing mobile products
(Smartphone, eBook Readers or equivalent) is required
-­‐ Prior experience testing Google Android OS platform. based
products is essential
-­‐ Strong analytical skills in order to troubleshoot and root cause
issues is essential
-­‐ Prior experience working with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla,
etc.), generating and writing reports, analyzing and highlighting
trends is essential
-­‐ Prior experience working with test case management tools such
as TeamTrack is essential
-­‐ Communication skills in English is required
-­‐ Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, including
internal and external teams
-­‐ Working knowledge of embedded hardware such as TI-OMAP,
Qualcomm, Marvell-StrongARM or SC64xx application processors
is desired"
