AppScan 7.8 fails to start on some localized operating systems |

| | | Problem(Abstract) | | This technote identifies an AppScan Severe Error Internal error 1412-1 that can occur in localized versions of IBM Rational AppScan Standard Edition, and provides a workaround. | | | | Symptom | On localized Czech version of Microsoft Windows, after installing or upgrading from version 7.7, AppScan 7.8 fails to start with the following error:
Note: This error might occur on other localized versions of Microsoft Windows.
AppScan Severe Error
Internal error 1412-1. AppScan need to terminate.

|  | | | Resolving the problem | This has been identified as a defect in AppScan 7.8, referenced as APAR PK80452.
The following workaround is available:- Create a temporary directory with only English characters, for example: c:\temp
- Create a system variable with the name: APPSCAN_TEMP and the value:c:\temp (or whatever directory you have just created in the first step).
This will allow AppScan to start normally.
7.7 和7.8 版本的同学出现此问题后可尝试上述方法
BUG1按照上面的方法 添加系统变量后 在8.002 ifix 001版中 导入扫描文件时 又出现这个问题 看来是新版的 BUG
BUG2从其他机器拷贝过来 同一版本的扫描文件 会出现错误 提示
“由于系统错误，无法继续当前的配置 请配置新的扫描”
APPSCAN 8.0版本 还是有很多 BUG 的 , 测试普通网站还行 扫描大的门户网站 不停的出问题 IBM 的工程师们要加油了 |
