QA Engineer  Description



Using a solid understanding of security, computer science and engineering principles the candidate will developtestcases for vulnerability signatures that identify vulnerabilities, missing patches, services and operating systems.



Responsibilities:



- In a fast pace environment, candidate will develop and run test procedures and automation scripts.

- Test vulnerability signatures, analyze and expand our regression test suite

- Reproduce and isolate faults, and perform. root cause investigation forbuganalysis.

- Write detailed test plans and test cases and be able to set and meet delivery schedules and deadlines.



Qualifications:



- Must have 3 years experience with the software development life cycle in QA role.

- Strong background in writing and analyzing regular expressions

- System administration/IT skills forLinux, Windows, Solaris including patching.

- PERL or Shell scripting. Automation knowledge with recent scripting experience.

- Experience with working with offshore QA and Development teams.

- Must have experience with OS level Network configuration and trouble-shooting.

- Functional testing of virtual environments,

- Underlying concepts in the physical and virtual infrastructure

- Understanding of system architecture, including processors, storage and networking is highly desirable

- Excellent communication skills and must be able to interface with customers as necessary

- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent





Additional Plus Competencies:

- Experience with TCP/IP and network troubleshooting and knowledge of packet sniffers

- Experience with network protocols and Relational databases.

- Experience with desktop and server vulnerability.

- Experience with API's
