Manual Explore browser does not display webpage

Problem(Abstract)
Attempts to explore an application using the IBM Rational AppScan Standard Manual Explore browser results in the webpage not loading successfully.
 
Cause
A configuration issue in the Scan Configuration can cause this behavior.
 
Diagnosing the problem
Check to see if the application is accessible using a third party web browser such as Internet Explorer.
 
Resolving the problem
If the page is displayed successfully, check the following settings in the Scan Configuration:
  1. Scan Configuration > Communication and Proxy

    Check to see if the proxy settings need to be entered, or if Rational AppScan Standard is using theUse Internet Explorer proxy settingsoption. If this is the case, try entering in the proxy information into theUse custom proxy settingsoption.

    Note: Your proxy settings can be found by going toControl Panel > Internet Options > Connectionstab and clicking on theLAN Settings...button or contacting your Networking Administrator
  2. Scan Configuration > URL and Servers

    Double check your URL structure to see if theTreat all paths as case-sensitiveoption needs to be turned on. If this option is de-selected and the paths are case-sensitive, Rational AppScan Standard might not be able to access the page properly through Manual Explore.
