Title: Device Validation Engineer
Level: Systems Engineer I
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Individual will be responsible for all aspects of Mindspeed device validation including:
• Development of embedded
test applications,
• Development of drivers for bare metal and
Linux OS,
• Analysis of system issues to identify software and hardware errors,
• Carry out various experiment to narrow down hardware errors.
Job Requirements:
• Academic background or work experience to include communication systems and embedded software development;
• Excellent programming skill in 'C';
• Experience in designing and debugging firmware;
• Good understanding of hardware/software interfaces;
• Good knowledge of electronic design principals;
• Clear and concise communication skills to help debug complex problems with an international team.
• Work with VLSI engineers to characterize and validate complex SoCs;
• Persistence in solving of complicated system issues, which can be a mixture of software bugs in drivers and/or applications, and hardware malfunctioning;
Education:
• Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
• Computer Science (BSCS), or related field.
• MSEE or MSCS is preferred.
