How to Set IE8 to Accept Cookies

Adjust your cookie settings to limit the information websites can gather about you or install on your browser. Some websites use the information in cookies to deliver a website customized to what they perceive to be your interests, based on the information stored in the cookies. The information stored in a cookie can include your name, email address and sites you have visited. The stored information varies from website to website. In Internet Explorer, you can customize your cookie settings or adjust your privacy level.
Instructions
Open Internet Explorer, click "Tools" in the top menu and select "Internet Options" to open the "Internet Options" dialog box.
- 2.Click the "Privacy" tab in the Internet Explorer dialog box to go to the privacy tab. Click the "Advanced" button at the bottom of the "Settings" section to open the "Advanced Privacy Settings" dialog box.
- 3.Check the "Override automatic cookie handling" check box in the "Advanced Privacy Settings" dialog box. Select the "Accept" radio buttons for "First-party Cookies" and "Third-party Cookies." Check the "Always allow session cookies" check box if you want to save temporary cookies (cookies that would have been deleted when you exited the browser) on your computer. Click the "OK" button to save the settings and return to the "Internet Options" dialog box. Click "OK" to close the "Internet Options" dialog box.
- 4.Open "Internet Explorer," click "Tools" on the top bar and select "Internet Options" to open the "Internet Options" dialog box.
- 5.Click the "Privacy" tab in the "Internet Options" dialog box.
- 6.Click the "Default" button on the "Privacy" tab in the "Internet Options" dialog box if the slider is not visible in the "Settings" section. Move the slider to the bottom to the "Accept All Cookies" setting. Click the "OK" button to save the setting and return to your browser.
