Day's test feedback

After a day’s work, I have got something new thought about test：

    I was major in toolbar & wtp moudule, specially for Privacy scanner(submoudule of toolbar) in the meantime.today we found a serious issue that is the privacy scanner can’t work well on the new version of facebook(facebook has released new version,and it has a large change on the surface.but this phenomenon only appear on partly facebook account),so we need to fix it.

      But the most importent thing need to care about is why this problem occur, and what’s the solution to this issue.during the communication with RD,I get the root of cause. We change the value of some facebook user privacy setting item depend on finding the attribute of them,but the attributes are not specific.so our product won’t work well any more once this attributes changed by facebook. This problem could be avoided only in this condition of facebook’s opening source API,However this seems  impossiable.

    The second serious issue is about toolbar installation, The toolbar can’t install successfully when I check the toolbar installation checkbox. Firstly I can’t find the cause so that call a RD for help.He check the log carefully,he found the root of cause quickly.after that he check the environment of my mac.The result is that the “Sharing only” level user I have created in my mac.because this type of user can’t have their own file directory, So the toolbar installation failed. Through this case, I seriously understand a truth that the product which doesn’t contain issues is not exist.So as a QA,as a good QA must be the one who try every scenario possible in the test even a product is so stable. A good QA can’t stop find the new issue of product.
