Yslow – developed by Yahoo

A small, interesting and useful APM tool, you can use it to evaluate performance and user experience of web application what was developed by yourself or other people. It can use professional view to help you develop perfect web application. You can also become user experience engineer, find and location some problem and help to improve the web application.

Install Yslow in fireFox/Opera/Safari/Chrome

1.     Open “add-ons” by menu bar

2.     Search“Yslow”

3.     Install “Yslow”

4.     Restart browser, then you can use it

Open web application and invoke the Yslow

1.     Open a web app in browser

2.     Invoke the tool “Yslow” by click (the icon in top or bottom of browser )

Run the Yslow and capture the data

Click the button “Run Test” to run the Yslow. YSlow can analyze web page performance by examining all the components on the page.
