LoadRunner does not support running Sybase Vusers on Unix platforms. HTML-based Vusers using Auto Proxy configuration may influence LoadRunner memory usage during a large load test run. For Solaris machines without Java 1.2 or higher installed: Before installing LoadRunner, refer to the information about installing the necessary patches in: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/install-solaris-patches.html
The following message may appear the first time that a user logs on after a full standalone LoadRunner installation:"HCL Inetd CPLInquire cpl 8af40c". This is a known limitation of the HCL Inetd eXceed application, Hummingbird Communications, Ltd.If you are using the ATI 3D RAGE PROAGP 2X display driver chip, there is a bug in the display driver that may make it incompatible with LoadRunner.
To solve the problem, please download the new driver fromhttp://support.ati.com/, Adaptor Type - ATI Tech. Inc. 3D RAGE PRO. If you upgrade or install Internet Explorer after LoadRunner was installed, runregister_vugen.batfrom LoadRunner'sbindirectory.Only users with administrator permission can insert new LoadRunner and Vuser licenses.You may receive the following error message on Solaris: "Failed to connect to server: Cannot assign requested address"Workaround:Run the following commands (require root permission):
ndd -set /dev/tcp tcp_time_wait_interval 10000
ndd -set /dev/tcp tcp_smallest_anon_port 4096
Note: These commands should also be added to one of the startup files so that the change does not get lost after reboot.
When working on the Solaris platform, by default the swap space is defined as the machine's/tmpdirectory. The Load Generator machine also saves its temporary result files to that directory. Depending on the scenario, the temporary result files may be large and utilize all of the available space in the/tmpdirectory, leaving no swap space for other operations.Workaround: Define the temporary result file location for the Load Generator machine in a directory other than/tmp. In the Controller'sDesigntab, clickGenerators > Detailsand specify a temporary path.
The SiteScope installation directory path should not contain any spaces, and must end with a directory called "SiteScope" .When using terminal sessions, a maximum of 19 QTP Vusers can run simultaneously on the same machine.
