今天在整理邮件的时候，又看到了我的老板，一个嵌入式方面的技术牛人，在今年年初发给我的邮件，其中有不同的公司老板（技术总监、总经理级别）对测试工程师的要求。原文请看下面。
关于测试工程师的要求，WindRiver的vxWorks系统测试工程师：

General Descritpion of this Position:
Wind River Systems Beijing R&D Center has a great opportunity for vxworks system test engineers. The candidate we are seeking is an excellent communicator in both written and verbal English, good team player. Also we are looking for candidates with solid experiences implementing a product with Vxworks or Linux.
Job Descritpions:
Responsible for system test activities for Wind River vxworks platform
Install/Config/Build target vxworks images/modules for supported host OS/target platform Matrix
Design/porting/config and excute a vxworks inside device
Be able to work closely with related US teams
Job Requirements:
Solid C programming skills in Unix environment or vxworks platform
Familiar with scrīpt languages (Tcl, Perl or Shell)
Experiences on Unix adminstrations
Background on embedded systems
Experiences in test process, test development and test executions
Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
Strong trouble shooting skills

我也和我的同学电话交流过，他们希望工程师能够了解协议流程，另外他们的产品是3G无线方面的，所以进去以后还会对相关的知识和他们自己产品的知识做培训，通常要自己开发测试工具，C、Tcl、Tk脚本编程，另外可能会用到一些安捷伦、泰克、Catapult等测试仪器，但更多的是使用自己开发的软件的测试工具。
我比较了北大青鸟、51testing等测试培训的课程，总的来讲，对于嵌入式的用户，除了常规的测试知识以外，还需要如下的知识：
1、UNIX系统的使用，因为大部分设备开发商的开发平台还是在UNIX上，而不像应用系统，主要集中在Windows、Linux上；
2、C语言、脚本语言，不一定用的很深，但应该能够看懂，可以组合测试脚本形成各种测试用例去执行，因为嵌入式系统很难像应用系统有标准的软件架构，有相对通用的测试工具，通常需要自己开发一些自动化测试环境；
3、对被测试系统有一定了解，如嵌入式系统的开发模式，对于应用的了解，例如爱立信是做通信的，就希望具备协议的基本知识，特定被测试协议的流程，以便设计测试用例。
