I gave myself an English name originally-Abigail.
Searched in google,explained as below:
"The name Abigail basically means ‘her Fathers joy or, fountain of joy”. The typical Hebrew and Tiberian terms for the name Abigail are, Avigayil and Abigal.
It is also the name of a female character in the bible and is said to be the wife of Nabal the Carmelite, whose life she rescues when David wants to kill him. After his death she goes on to become the third wife of David.
Later she has a son with David, whose name has been mentioned in the Hebrew of 2 Samuel 3:3 as Chileab, in the Septuagint as Daluyah, and also in the Chronicles as 1 3:1 as Daniel. Abigail was also a given name for a sister of David. "
